No, you must setup an MX record for each specific host. The record would look
like:

servername.domain.com. IN MX 5 servername.domain.com.

and the A record of:

servername.domain.com. IN A 1.2.3.4

user@xxxxxxxxxx is the primary and I added an entry for
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Do I need to setup an MX record for something like this?
I've been running several Linux boxes and I've always been
able to create an account on the local machine and immediately
use it by externally sending e-mail to user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'd think e-mail would route to the individual host. If
domain.com is the only thing specified, then DNS would do an
MX record lookup. Is this correct?

Are your individual domains managed as Recipient Policies? Are
you able to receive separate e-mail at Webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx and
Webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx or do they end up in a single mailbox?

Which of the email ad did u sets as the primary? Also
in ur DNS server, did u create a seperate zone for the
different domains with appropriate Mx records?

I'm running 3 different domains with my exchange
server and I can send emails to mail.domain1.com,
mail.domain2.com and mail.domain3.com.

Let me know if these suggestions are helpful and try
to shed more light.
