'Cuz you can't actually see the top of the hierarchy in ESM. You need
adsiedit or ldp.

Hmm...When I look at the Security Tab of my Org in ESM, it shows that
'Exchange Services' is inheriting permissions. If I'm at the top of the
hierarchy, how can it be inheriting permission?

Here is my understanding of the Exchange Services group...

This group only appears when the ADC has been deployed during a
migration from 5.5 or 2000 to 2003 Exchange. Once your environment has
been upgraded/migrated (ALL SITES) and you are no longer operating in
exchange Mixed Mode, you can safely remove all ADC connection
agreements. I would recommend setting these to 'Never' run under the
schedule tab for an extended period of time before removing/deleting
them. Once the ADC connections are removed, then you can safely delete
the 'Exchange Services' group. (once again I recommend disabling the
group before deleting it for a period of time).

Prior to performing the steps above, be sure to read KB 822450 (the
steps following #21) and also reference KB 272314 to prepare your
organization for converting your organization to Native Mode.

If you do not plan to go to Native Mode, or are not currently in
Exchange 2003 Native Mode, DO NOT DELETE the Exchange Services group.

There should be a "exchange domain servers" and a "exchange enterprise
servers". I don't have one named "exchange services".

We've completed our 5.5 migration; we're now 2003 native, but the group
'Exchange Services' still exists. Is it safe to remove this group?
It's listed in the security tab of ALL exchange servers.
