Can I please re-submit this query please ? The stuff I read syas yes and yet one of the KB's on MS advises that it's only needed with server of 2gb or more. I've had an issue with the above setup (one DC only, POP connector to receive, SMTP to send )where Exchange seems to just hang after a period of time - 1 or 2 days. Only a server reboot will cure. I am unable to restart the Exchange IS - it never manages to stop it and this "stopping" does not clear. Nothing untoward is seen in the logs. The POP connector still works ok, but clients are unable to connect to Exchange. I'm hoping your going to tell me it's down to SP1 which I've now installed and it looks ok, but if this still keeps happening I'm not sure where to look next. I've done the obvious stuff like ensuring AV is not scanning Exchange etc. Hope someone can assist.
