You don't need to /3gb switch unless you have more than 1Gb of RAM, so in
your case it is not required.

There have been reported issues of SP1 for Exchange 2003 on SBS, you might
want to take a look around the net a bit, I am pretty sure MS have released
some patches for it.

Ok - 2 things

Can someone tell me (without doubt) that I do need the /3gb switch in the
boot.ini file for a Dell 2600 server with 1gb RAM ? The stuff I read syas
yes and yet one of the KB's on MS advises that it's only needed with
server of 2gb or more.

I've had an issue with the above setup (one DC only, POP connector to
receive, SMTP to send )where Exchange seems to just hang after a period of
time - 1 or 2 days. Only a server reboot will cure. I am unable to restart
the Exchange IS - it never manages to stop it and this "stopping" does not
clear. Nothing untoward is seen in the logs. The POP connector still works
ok, but clients are unable to connect to Exchange. I'm hoping your going
to tell me it's down to SP1 which I've now installed and it looks ok, but
if this still keeps happening I'm not sure where to look next. I've done
the obvious stuff like ensuring AV is not scanning Exchange etc.

Hope someone can assist.
Simon
