If you stop people telneting on port 25 you won't recieve any mails. If
you stop people from telneting port 110 then your clients won't be able
to use pop3 if they use it. If they do not use it, and you do not have
any firewall just stop the pop3 service of exchange.

And you want to close the telnet port or any kind of telnet on ports 25,
110 etc?
