Most of the fixes have to do with ntbackup: "quits", "stops", etc... And you have to contact MS for the fix. Can you clarify the hotfixes needed for SBS 2003? Thanks, TJ -----Original Message----- From: Michael B. Look a couple weeks ago in the archives, I went through that with someone else... -----Original Message----- From: Tim Jordan [mailto:tim@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 07, 2005 2:59 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Backup/DR Systems for Exchange http://www.MSExchange.org/ I'm glad this topic came up. I primarily use Veritas at all our client sites. It's easy to setup, one backup job covers: system state, exchange, data partitions, etc... Full daily backup to tape...works great. I've been trying to get Ntbackup to work w/our SBS 2003 server but it always fails. The doc's say that the everything should be backed up with the SBS backup wizard but I constantly see files being skipped at bakup time. So I ended up doing separate Exchange & System state (online disk backups), and data backup job to tape. I am interested to hear what systems you have had the most success? For me/us, I use NTBackup, full backups every evening to RAID 1 disks onto another server in the LAN, and then the backup is copied onto SDLT tape. We have not had any disasters, so I can't say it's the best for us right now, but I have done some testing and I don't have any major complaints. Please feel free (I encourage it) to go into more detail with your configs.
