Hi Rob,
Thanks for the suggestion. Let's keep that proposal in mind and see what
Lana comes up with for a proposed budget. Best to make any funding changes
after considering the total inflow and outflow. Perhaps that will be part
of a comprehensive budget.
Please keep the suggestions coming.

With the price going from $7.85 to $8.50, perhaps now is the time to raise
the price of name badges?  We charge $10 each, and the price has been the
same for at least 10 years.  I propose we bump the price to $15 for a new
name badge.  Sure, we are non-profit, for-the-members organization, but we
need to keep our eye on our pennies so we can continue to fund our
activities.

Board/Officers –

I have spent several days ‘interviewing’ possible vendors and feel that
Best Trophies are going to be a great replacement for our last vendor. They
do not have any set up fees, badges are $8.50 with the magnet strip, and
the awards will be $7.00 pre-tax. They will take orders over the email but
I will need to pick up from them. However, they are fairly convenient to
the post office so I will just pick up the mail and any orders in one trip.

With the last vendor, the cost was $7.85 for badges, $7.25 for awards
pre-tax and a $3.00 shipping cost per order.

I did look at other venders and they were more expensive with a ‘set up’
fee for each run.

Do I need a ‘board vote’ on this? I have 7 badges and one award that are
pending and they will be closed next week so I wanted to get the order in
to make sure they are ready by the Jan. Meeting.

Let me know if I can go ahead with them.
