Given that costs are comparable, and our previous vendor is deceased, I
think it makes sense to engage the new vendor. While we did not have a
quorum of board members at the last meeting, I believe there was a
consensus that we needed to solve this problem and that the treasurer was
empowered to do so. Good work in finding a supplier.

I have spent several days ‘interviewing’ possible vendors and feel that
Best Trophies are going to be a great replacement for our last vendor. They
do not have any set up fees, badges are $8.50 with the magnet strip, and
the awards will be $7.00 pre-tax. They will take orders over the email but
I will need to pick up from them. However, they are fairly convenient to
the post office so I will just pick up the mail and any orders in one trip.
With the last vendor, the cost was $7.85 for badges, $7.25 for awards
pre-tax and a $3.00 shipping cost per order.
I did look at other venders and they were more expensive with a ‘set up’
fee for each run.
Do I need a ‘board vote’ on this? I have 7 badges and one award that are
pending and they will be closed next week so I wanted to get the order in
to make sure they are ready by the Jan. Meeting.
Let me know if I can go ahead with them.
