[etni] weighty issues : whether to strike and risk harming students

Wow. You people have really opened up a can of verbs!

How can we be loyal to our union and at the same time not spoil our students'
grade?

If our students have no project, but we have fudged a grade for them, what
happens when an external tester

appears(i.e. shows up) to test them orally?

I have come up with a solution that I can live with, integrity- wise. I
encourage my students to present their project in

gestures. If you look at the grading scale for the project part of the oral
exam you see that it is geared towards a spoken medium.

There should be no objection to a gesture -based presentation.

I tried to get an official OK from Nurit Valency for this, but over the phone
she couldn't see my arms and therefore had no Idea of what I was trying to
convey.

I have another point to make. Someone recently replied in a scoffing tone
to the teachers who expect money for project work. After all, was the gist of
her posting, we don't ask for extra money for checking unseens, teaching
remedial grammar, or having to be in classes of 14 yr old boys who pass gas all
the time. To this sarcasic teacher, I must speak out: We deserve more money
not for organizing and checing the projects. We deserve payment for writing
the projects in the first place!!

----- And another thing: a Bagrut teacher who has not taught literature for
the past ten years and now is being forced to teach it ! Isn't this "a
worsening of conditions - - Ha Ra Att - Tna-eem?
