Yesterday I did some of the oral testing and was horrified to see that all of the "special" composition rubrics stress accuracy over fluency. There's no logic to it, especially since the teaching methods used in Israel stress fluency over accuracy. MLD students have greater difficulties with "accuracy," (grammar,) even in their native tongues, so why are we penalizing them?
