While marking moed bet module F I have come across something that I
believe I mentioned in the aftermath of moed aleph - that is students
writing short compositions (meaning less than 120 words). I know that in
moed aleph there was a mistake in the question so they were allowed 100
words but in both cases (100 or 120) the word count relates to the BODY
of the letter excluding addresses etc.
In this test I have found (again) that pupils are including the opening
, closing and addresses in their word count. In addition to impressing
on our students in class that they should write the correct length, I
think we have to request that the test state clearly that the word count
relates to the BODY of the letter. We can write to Judy at anglit.net
about it.
All the best and have a good summer
Yehudit
