Subject: Korczak and the 5th of August
The Fifth of August is the day that Korczak and his children were sent
to
Treblinka. It is the official memorial day on which we meet at Yad
Vashem.
The service at the Janusz Korczak square, Yad Vashem, begins at 17:00
The program this year will include a musical entitled "With One's Face
to
the Wall" depicting the last three years of Janusz Korczak and the life
of
the orphanage in the ghetto. It will be performed in ENGLISH and you
are all
more than welcome to attend (no charge).
The performers are coming from Germany especially for the occasion.
Performers: Five Loaves of Bread and Two Fish coducted by Peter Reks
