I was thinking about the expression used that something can be purchased "at a fraction of the cost." From a mathematical standpoint, this is a meaning less statement, as it would be true even if the fraction is 99/100 (or even 110/100), and that it obviously not what the speaker means. So, my question is: What fraction of the cost need an item be to be described as "a fraction of the cost." Please respond by filling out this one-question poll, and I will update you all as to what the consensus is.
