My count for an 11th grade class from about three years ago was a total of 13 teaching weeks instead of the 30 we were told to plan for. Where did it go? The usual - trip to Poland, Purim activities, lectures, other teachers' exams etc, other subjects yamei iyun, school trips, etc, etc. -----Original Message----- From: etni-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:etni-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Graniewitz Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2010 14:16 To: etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [etni] Cancelled lessons Hi, Sorry to disturb everyone in the middle of their Pesach cleaning, but I have just worked out the number of cancelled lessons there have been so far this year thanks to this spanking new computerised Big Brother system we have in one of the schools in which I teach. Out of a possible 90 lessons in reverse order we have 9th grade with 11 cancelled lessons in 3rd place. Second place goes to 12th grade with 17 cancelled lessons and the Gold Medal goes to the 11th Grade who just pip the 12th graders to the post by have a whopping 18 lessons cancelled up to now. These numbers also include the haggim at the beginning of the year, but even so it is a bit much, n'est-ce pas? Has anyone else kept tabs on the number of lost hours this year? How do they compare to mine? Happy scrubbing, David Graniewitz Jerusalem ----------------------------------------------- ** The ETNI Rag ** http://www.etni.org/etnirag/ Much more than just a journal ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org or - http://www.etni.org.il ** ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** ----------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------- ** The ETNI Rag ** http://www.etni.org/etnirag/ Much more than just a journal ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org or - http://www.etni.org.il ** ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** -----------------------------------------------
