UT SCARB Environment Week (March 3-7) Event Details: Expo (Mon 9AM ? 4PM, Venue: Meeting Place) Various environmentally oriented organizations will be present. 2nd Nature will also have several setups including a David Suzuki Nature Challenge Sign Up and a Battery Collection (i.e. those used for electronic equipment), not to mention GAMES, ACTIVITIES, RAFFLES, and of course PRIZES!!! Genetically Modified Organisms (Mon 1PM, Venue: Student Village Center) Pat Venditti from Greenpeace will be giving a talk about what Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO?s) are and what people should know about them. This will be followed by a discussion/coffee night on Tuesday in the early evening (Time: TBA), which will be attended by UTSC?s principal Paul Thompson. Global Warming Panel (Tues 2PM, Venue: Student Village Center) 4 high profile guests will shed some more light on today?s hot topic global climate change. 2 scientist, an environmentalist, and an economist.
