Here is an excellent resource for birds and window dangers: The American Bird
Conservancy. https://abcbirds.org/program/glass-collisions/ ;
<https://abcbirds.org/program/glass-collisions/>. They deal with Why birds hit
windows, Bird-friendly designs, and solutions to birds hitting windows. It
should be helpful. Jim Poling

Hi folks,
Warren Wilson will soon be constructing two new buildings on campus that
involve quite a bit of glass. Several of my students are spearheading an
effort to ensure bird safety as part of the construction process. They are
researching options for construction materials and funding opportunities for
this kind of work through our campus channels, but I wanted to inquire here
about any known foundations or individuals who might support bird-friendly
construction efforts on a college campus. Given our popularity as a birding
spot in WNC and our current status as a NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat, I
think our students could put together a compelling proposal for funding if we
find the right donor(s).
Please let me know if anything comes to mind!
Thanks,
