I was rather unsure about the book. It was very well written *and well
scanned*, but there was something rather unsatisfactory about a fictional
account of a story I remembered quite well.
I think the Clough myth has become so strong that the real thing is always
more entertaining than the stories. I have not seen the film, but, from the
extracts, he does not sound much like Brian.
