Shell, he also wrote a book called The Damned United which has recently been turned into a movie. Although it's about football, and the rather esoteric end of football at that, I'd say it's a novel that non-football fans might well enjoy. Still awaiting the arrival of the omnibus and checked with Amazon tonight who tell me that the publisher has put back the date of issue.
