Hi all,

I am currently reading a book called "Afraid" by Jack Kilborn. It is
currently being discussed on another list and, coincidentally, I had just
picked it up as my first Audible book. the book is read quite well but the
voice is strangely compressed, sounding a bit like a telephone line. You do
get used to it and the book is certainly full of action. If you want to
scan it, the book is available for around two pounds plus postage from
amazon. Quite chilling stuff.

I have now finished the Jill McGown, but more about that next month.
another good read, which you all should have on your computers, is the
Robert ellis book "City of fire". Rather violent in parts, but a very well
worked out story. I'm not sure how people think up such things.

I notice that Audible already have unabridged recordings of the new Tom Rob
smith which I sent out yesterday, and the new Wilbur Smith. they are both
long books, and if you are an audible member each will cost you £7.99 which
is certainly good value.

Happy Easter and happy reading.

David
