Ah yes, I see the new books listed on fantastic fiction now. i've used the site for ages, but not really explored it fully. i like the fact you can look up just crime books, amazing how many new ones come out each month.

If you want to find out about new books, I have already pointed you to the Fantastic Fiction site. another good one is www.lovereading.co.uk You have to register but that does not cost anything. You can then receive newsletters about your favourite genres of books, and you can also read extracts from new and pre-publication books. these are in pdf format so you will need something to convert them, but it can be a good way of finding out whether or not you like a new author. You can buy books from them, but amazon is usually cheaper. Something else good on the site is what they call "like for like". If you put the name of an author in the search box, it will come up with authors it thinks are similar. You can get some very strange results, but it is worth taking a look. David
