Postdoctoral Position opening
Dr. Patrick Shafto=92s Lab
Department of Brain and Psychological Sciences
University of Louisville
Applications are now being accepted for a post-doctoral fellowship on Dr.
Patrick Shafto=92s NSF-funded project investigating the effects of social
reasoning on learning. The specific focus will be on identifying methods by
which learners' social reasoning may be leveraged to facilitate learning,
and translating these methods to education.
The position is for someone with strong research training, statistical
expertise, a strong research record, and a Ph.D. in education, psychology,
cognitive science, or a closely related area. A background in the Learning
Sciences is desirable. Interest in computational modeling would be
valuable, but is not necessary.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities may vary based on the skills and
interests of the successful applicant. These will likely include: designing
new studies, data collection, supervising data collection, data analysis,
literature reviews, writing up results for presentation and publication,
and collaborative participation with our research team.

Desired date is Summer 2013, but is flexible. The position will be
renewable each June, pending PI approval and continued availability of

until the position is filled.
