Announcement: Learning Engineer job opening at Edmentum. We welcome

across the globe. The Edmentum Research and Learning Engineering Team is
central to fulfilling our commitment to our national and international
educators and learners. Each member of our team must be curious,
collaborative, and have a passion to conduct best-in-class research to
develop and provide evidence of valid, useful educational solutions that
truly meet the needs of learners and educators.



The Learning Engineer will contribute to the process of applying learning
sciences to Edmentum’s learning platforms with human-centered engineering
design methods and data-informed decision making to support learners and
their development.  The Learning Engineer will be comfortable managing,
extracting, and analyzing high volume, variety, and velocity data and will
use modern infrastructure and analytic tooling to do so, adhering to best
practices in data quality and privacy.



This position will entail close collaboration with colleagues in Learning
and Assessment Design, Psychometrics, Content Development, Efficacy
Research, and Data Science to execute upon Edmentum’s mission of creating
successful student outcomes everywhere learning occurs.



The Learning Engineer optimally has knowledge of research methods,
including design-based, experimental, and quasi-experimental designs. The
Learning Engineer may be familiar with a portion of learning science and
psychometric research and modeling methods, such as knowledge state
mapping, learning curve analysis, item and test level analyses, item
response theory modeling, and computer adaptive testing. In addition, the
Learning Engineer will bring experience with data engineering and
simulation tools. If not already experienced, the candidate should be
prepared to learn and collaborate on advanced methods of machine learning,
AI, and natural language processing.
