Hi Pele

That's a brilliant confirmation re your Aunt. I have just googled it and discovered that this street was formerly known as Old Beverley street and is also possibly where the world's smallest window can be seen. It was used by the gatekeeper of the George Hotel to look out for stagecoaches There was also a BBC play for the day called the Land of Green Ginger by Alan Plater about Hull televised in 1973. But I don't remember it.

Apologies for the digrression i.e. no books mentioned here!

Linda

Hi Everyone

There is really a place in Hull called the Land of Green Ginger, and my
aunt, who is no longer with us, was born there. It made an interesting
birth certificate.
