Hi Brett.  This may not exactly answer your question, but there is a way to
remove all format codes from Word documents before importing to Duxbury, but
so far I have only seen this option available in Word XP.  To accomplish
this:

Open Word and your document.
Go to the Edit menu and arrow down to Clear.  Press enter.

The first option is formats.  Press enter on this and all tabs, font
attributes and other styling codes will be removed.  This makes it much
easier to go back in to the document from within Duxbury and put in the
codes that you want to use.  Hope this helps somewhat.
