For One thing, x as contraction for 'it' bears no alphabetic relation to
the word 'it'.

Subject: [duxuser] question about translation

Although the rule says that alphabetic word signs can not be written
with an s at the end as in the word likes, I notice that Duxbury
translates the word its as xs. Does anyone know why?
