Hi Marjorie,

Could you please send the offending file as and attachment to
[mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx].

I'll have it loaded onto a Braille 'n Speak here and see what I can figure out.

By the way, what Model is your BNS and what level of software does it have.

George.

Subject: [duxuser] mystery about dxb files.

Hi George and Listers:

I am the one Fina sent a DXB file to be translated into braille. It
seems when she braills it, it brailles just fine with the hyphens where they
should be but when I got a copy of the file, which was already prepared for
brailling where hyphens were supposed to be duxbury put in the number one:
e.g. 1-1/2 became 111/2.
I had another friend send me a test message with a couple of recipes
and her document preparation worked out just fine. Fina is using DBT 10.04
whereas I am using DBT 10.03. We thought this might be the reason, but when the
other file came through and it worked, guess need to get Miss Marpole to check
out the mystery. Any help would be appreciated as this is a long book, almost
250 pages.

These are the kinds of questions which all Duxbury users ask from time to time,
and in the longer term, may help us to improve the quality of DBT.
