Yes, if it already buffered it has to finish unfortunately.

I did do all the right things about the buffer but nothing worked, so I just
had to sacrifice the paper.

Take a look at this document. It has the information listed.

You adjust the dot density in the ETC Braille Setup.
To empty the buffer, Press O on the brailler to take it offline. Then go to
your print queue on your computer to cancel the jobs.

I was gifted a Trident Embosser. I know they aren’t produced anymore and all
the contact info is out of date, but I cannot find, anywhere in the manual, how
to adjust the strike force. Also, do you know how to empty the buffer?
