Perky Duck is not a braille translator.
You braille on it exactly as you would a Perkins Brailler, hence the play on
words in the name, Perky for Perkins and Duck for Duxbury.
If you want contracted braille you have to input contracted braiile.

Hi marienne,
Thank you for writing, my problem is exactly how to instruct perky duck to
actually write in contracted Braille, because for some reason it allows me to
write only in uncontracted Braille, obviously because if there is such command
i'm not aware of it.

Yes, you can use Perky Duck to enter contracted braille. I don't know if a
braille display can be connected but you can use the s, d, f, j, k and l for
braille entry.
