Don,

You might want to put additional spaces between words for someone who was just 
learning to read braille.  The reason you can't just insert spaces is that 
Duxbury compresses more than one space to a single space.  There used to be a 
code to tell Duxbury not to do that, but I couldn't find it in the code list, 
so I assume it was removed.  Now, the only workaround is the ['] code, which 
inserts a "hard" or non-breaking space, which tells Duxbury that you explicitly 
want a space in that spot.

If you wanted to, you could enter the document with the requisite number of 
spaces, and then use the Replace function to change every space to a hard 
space, but that's as much work as the methods already discussed.
