From the File menu, select New, and in the next dialog, select the Braille Radio Button in the Document Type section. Once you have the new document open, go to the View menu, and make sure that "Braille Font" is ticked, as well as "Six Key Entry" To all intents and purposes, you now have an electronic Perkins page in front of you. Pressing the letter l will generate a dot 6 on the screen. However, if you select "Print Font" for the View menu, you will essentially see the ascii representation of what forms particular dot permutations, which will not make sense to many people. However, I still have a few more questions. Neither program will allow me to write in grade 2 braille and both programs think the dot 6 is a comma. Also, for punuation I have to use the standard keyboard ones accept for the capitol sign which I haven't figured out. Can anyone help meplease? Thanks Much, Maurine p.s.
