Hi Barb,
You might find it useful to get hold of the official UEB rules.

Subject: [duxuser] dash vs hyphen
I am transcribing from print into braille with an older version of Duxbury 12.2
SR1. I am having trouble with the codes for a dash and a hyphen. I think I can
use the regular keyboard for the dash. I don't know how to do the hyphen. I
looked in the code list but I don't see it listed.
I hope you can clear it up for me. When I back translate to see the braille I
see dots 3 and 6 together which I think represents the hyphen.
