Hi Sandra,
With that response, I'm afraid only Duxbury directly can help you.
Basically it suggests that it has been installed and activated on other
systems, but has not been de-activated and uninstalled correctly.
Duxbury do appear to be in the office today however.

I did that and it said that this software is already activated on other
computers and to de-activate the software on another machine and try again.
I'm lost.

Hi Sandra,
RIGHT click on the DBT icon, and select "Run as administrator".
You should then be able to activate OK.

I have DBT 11.1 SR4 and just upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1 because Windows
kept pestering me to do that and finally gave me no choice to put it off and
the only choice was 1 to 4 hours. Now I can't open my DBT files or program.
When I try to it tells me to activate it and when I click on that it says I
must have administrative privileges but I am a single user. I have emailed
Duxbury for help but I won't hear back before tomorrow. Any suggestions? Does
DBT work with 8.1?
