Hi all, Can I directly print a PowerPoint file? That is, if I have a PowerPoint file that has text and embedded graphics, could I print that file as is with the graphics and text? I have been trying to Braille about three power point files in the past week. Thank you Betsy for asking the question! From PowerPoint, File menu, Save as, change Save As type from Presentation to Outline/RTF and click save. The presentation will be saved with the filetype ".rtf". 2. From Word, File menu, Open, change Files of type to All Files or Rich Text Format, and load the document. 3. Check the following: * The titles of each slide will be in Heading 1 style; these can be left. * The bullet points within each slide may be Normal or a heading style - change them all to Normal. * Go through each slide and make sure the Normal style paragraphs are consistent. * If there are lists within lists, i.e. indented paragraphs, these indents may need to be re-input. 4. Save the Word document. 5. From the DBT menu, choose Duxbury Braille. 6. Choose the template as usual, and check that the import filter is "Microsoft Word 6 or later". Hope this helps, Steve -----Original Message----- From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Betsy Whitney, Dolphin Press Sent: 21 June 2006 13:27 To: duxuser-freelists.org Subject: [duxuser] PowerPoint files I know we've been down this trail before, but I can't seem to find anything in my files about getting the text out of the powerpPoint files into Word and on to Duxbury, 10.5. I'm using xp Home. I am able to open the .ppt files. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
