Dear list,
I had forgotten about this program - think I had a demo of it and don't know if
it still exists at work. But I also, being a Linux user wanted to see if there
was anything out there and there is a git-hub project. Sadly neither of my
Linux distributions I use are currently compatible with my scanner (part of a
an all-in-one device) yet is picked up instantly in ubuntu 20.04 and Fedora
Workstation 31 - but they don't have LIOS in their repositories which I have on
both distributions I use (Linux Intelligent OCR Software) which uses the
tesseract engine, needed for this to work:

Whilst at home, something I discovered that is present in the distribution I
use for work is Okular - this is great for selecting text from a pdf and
copying into a Text Processor (I am using SoftMaker Professional at home) and I
am pleased to say is now available for Windows users:

Subject: [duxuser] Re: OT: OBR in the US?
The last I knew, the US distributor for OBR was enablemart. They knew
nothing about the project, they just distributed it. I still have the
email ( I believe it's still current) for the author of the OBR program.
The last operating system the program works with is Windows XP. If I can
assist in any way write to me of-list. I use OBR regularly and am familiar
with its bugs.
