Did someone (was it Catherine) need info on the MBoss-35 Braille printer? Did George find a manual for it? Let me know if you need info; I have one here which has been refurbished, and has the manual. The plastic emboss strip has been replaced, along with a cable to the embossing head. I forget offhand which firmware version is in the PROM. Works just fine with DBT. The MBoss-35 was a European embosser with a North American sticker on it. Of little use nowadays, but of interest, is its internal text editor. Like an early notetaker, you can write text in the editor using the Braille keyboard, do correctins and other things, save the ile, and print it out. The MOuntbatten I believe has a text editor as well. One day, if I can't unload it to someone who needs it, I I'd like to try and replace that annoying message whichs brailled on the beginning page when the MBoss-35 is turned on with a speech or audio prompt. The message can be turned off with a control code, but I haven't figured it out yet. The initial version and ready message wastes a Braille page. Turning that message off would avoid this. The MBoss-35 has four styli arranged vertically. When text is sent to the printer, they march along in punchy precision, making our Braille lives easier.
