I can tell you that Duxbury runs fine. I have a Mac Book Pro M1 and I have
not encountered any problems. All Intel applications should run fine with
Rosetta 2, so if it ran on Intel Macs, it will run on the M1.

Greetings everyone!
Question. I am due for a new computer and have been given the choice to
switch into a new MAC M1 with the Apple chip.
While I know that this computer can offer a great quality of material, I
would like to know if anyone on this list uses the new MAC and what your
experience has been with in thus far in relation to ease of use and
especially compatibility with programs most commonly used for Braille
transcription such as math type, tactile view, duxbury and so on. I am
somewhat familiar with the apple product as I use an old MacBook for home
use but other than that I have only ever done my transcribing on a 29 year
old dell pc.
