Hello All:

I spoke with someone yesterday who has used a Perkins Brailler to write
out things such as notes and recipes in Braille. She has severe
Arthritis in her hands, but her right hand is better than her left. The
Artiritis is making it difficult to use the Perkins Brailler.

What I'm looking for is ideas on a solution where she could type out
with one hand or dictate what she needs too, and get hard copy or
Refreshable Braille. She's got a computer. I thought of either JAWS
with Jaysay and Dragon Naturally Speaking with Duxbury and an embosser,
or, a Braille Note with one handed mode. These solutions will cost her,
depending on what she already owns from about $3,600 up to $6,100. Does
anyone have other ideas that would help this person?

Thanks,
