I've had DBT/Mac installed on my Mac for quite a few years and comparing it
with the latest upgrade for DBT/Win is like comparing a Model T Ford with a
Thunderbird, with DBT/Win being a far superior product. You will just have to
work harder at formatting, etc., with DBT/Mac than you would have to with
DBT/Win, plus--don't expect any upgrades to the software. If you are really
computer savvy, you may be able to write your own styles. That's the answer to
efficient braille textbook production when using DBT--Mac or Win. Sadly, if
all you have is a Mac, you are caught between a rock and hard place, with
DBT/Mac being the only braille translation software available for the Macintosh.

Hi, There is a version of DBT for the MAC, but it is not the latest current
version.  That said, it still does an excellent job. The demand for MAC
versions is absolutely tiny, and sadly, does not justify investment at this
time. George BellTechno-Vision Systems Ltd

Subject: [duxuser] Dux and mac

Hi, I have always been using PC since I learned to touch a computer. That goes
with the Dux and the windows. Someone asked me if we could use this program
with Mac? I have no idea how mac work at all. So I said I will ask anyone here
on the duxusers.  Can we use the program with mac? Thanks
