Here's the scoop from the serious tech support guys.

This can happen with DBT 10.4 sometimes when more than one version of
Word is installed; it could also happen even if the earlier version is
removed, if not all of the registry is cleaned out.  We've fixed this
for DBT 10.5.

If two or more versions of Word are presently installed, there may be
nothing that can be done about this.

If only one version remains installed, then the customer should contact
support here about how to clean out the registry entries that Word's
"Remove Programs" operation might have left behind.
