David,

It sounds as though you've hit upon it.

This is a known issue, and has been for some time. I've been hesitant to
tackle it head-on. Version 10.6 added enough into the mix. This service
release is a "minor" release, and so it doesn't contain any basic
architectural changes such as this will require.

The good news is that I have a fix coded already; it will be tested as part
of the QuickTac 4.0 beta, which will be starting shortly.

I think that I have solved the problem I raised a few minutes ago. I already
had a copy of DBT open!
However I do not think that I realised that double clicking on a DBT file
would cause this to occur.

Peter

I have DBT licensed for my laptop as a 1 user license. Email etc comes from
the college network. Is there any situation that causes DBT to suddenly look
for organisational licenses? At the moment I cannot access DBT because it
starts a countdown from 180 licenses, claims it is searching for one, but
does not find one. Is this some quirk of our network or of DBT?
