Hi Peter,

Thank you. I'm guessing it's the limitation of the embosser. But, that means we won't be able to use DBT's page numbering, we'll have to put the page number in by hand. (Not a big deal when you're already working in Quick Tak anyway.)

Lissa,

The most useful thing would be to send the .SIG and the .DXP file, off-list.

The talking problem should be better with beta 9, which I hope to have
posted tomorrow or Wednesday. The other issues are ones that I'll have to
explore.

It is a truism that DBT restricts what graphics resolution are available for
any given graphics image, based on two criteria:

1. The limitations of the embosser (or, more properly, what we believe the
limitations to be), and
2. Whether the image will fit on a single page when a new resolution is
selected. DBT will not allow you to put an image into a resolution that
causes it to fill up more than a page.

Hi David and Peter,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner; I just tested a .sig file on Beta
8 (not Bart, but a map of the Sudan I just created in Quick Tak) on my
Express 150.

First, it continued to recite all the settings as before.

Second, it embossed on the left side of the page (wide 11-inch) regardless
of whether I set it to left, center, or right align.

And finally, Peter, I know that you told me to set it to medium width dots,
but actually, that was the only option available, the other two options
where greyed out.

(So, for the moment, I'm sticking with copyx, heh!)

I can send you the .sig if you'd like.

Thanks!

Lissa
