Quincey, the horse I drive single and in the lead of the tandem, is a tail swisher and NOT polite about his reaction once he traps the rein. I bought a special crupper from Zilco/Advanced Equine. This crupper has a dock extension that allows you to strap the horses dock to the crupper, thereby eliminating most of the mobility of the tail. Allows me to keep driving Q in the lead, not safe without it. I do recommend you pay special attention to the efficacy of your fly spray because you will be restricting your leaders fly swatter. -- Sterling D. B.
