[drivingpairs] new to list intro

I am very happy to have rejoined the list. My name is Colleen and I have Welsh
Ponies of Cob Type ( section C). I currently drive a gelding (Ron) single, but
have his younger brother (Lance)that I am preparing to put together as a pair.
I look forward to learning much from the list about pairs.
At the moment I am working on Lance at ground level. He is wearing harness,
learning voice commands, and that he can relax and trust me. He is doing
great, I must admit. We also pony him behind the carriage. We had an excting
day yesterday when I asked him to pull the drag for the first time. He reacted
in a very positive way, by dropping into a nice frame and pulling.
I have a question to the group. Would you drive the young one as a single for
a while first? Or are there thoughts on just putting them as a pair?
