The ones with the ankle wraps are Easy Boots with garters. They also have a
new design of boots called a Boa that covers the entire hoof up to the coronary
band and have a screw down cable. I found these much easier to apply and they
stayed on much more securely.
I tried these on my draft horses and they work great unless you have a horse
with a slow breakover. Then the toes wore. Of course I was using them on my
draft horses on the road so there was a lot more friction. I really liked the
idea of the boot but for the amount of work I do on the road commercially, they
were not feasible for me long term. I still use them in the off season and like
them very much.
