Pat is so right about the above referenced web site. Lots of good info = and I didn't mention it because the brain cells weren't firing and I forgot where to find it. Thanks for reminding me. I do wonder what long term effects the concussive force of road driving will have on legs, joints = and connective tissue whether barefoot or shod? I do feel that going = barefoot reduces the impact force and shock that it sends up the legs to a great extent. Does anyone have experience road driving the same horse = barefoot for over approximately 5+ years? If so have there been any issue with = legs, joints, tendons, hooves, etc., that could be attributed to being = barefoot rather than normal wear and tear? My Fjord pair is young, now with = perfect bare feet, and I plan on helping them stay sound so they can be healthy enough to haul me on my last drive to the old folk's home many years = from now. =20 Milli Ann, Magnolia, TX <From: Pmnurse835@xxxxxxx Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2004 16:46:57 EST Subject: [drivingpairs] Re: barefoot horses Hi Milli Ann, I too drive my horses barefoot.
