What a wonderful story about your old mare.
A couple of years ago my 30 year old Arabian mare just decided not to eat,
and this was her signal that she was near the end and we had her put to sleep.
She gave my friends and I a wonderful almost 30 years, as I bought her at 18
months old. Beautiful memories.
