The name Pairs and Teams depend on your background and use of horses. For example in the intermountain area (Idaho) if you refer to a pair most people who have drove horses all thier life would not know what you are talking about. The people who use the term pairs are the ones who show in shows such as Welsh and ect. But the other people will tell you they drive a team. I am 70 years old and my normal point of reference is to call them a team, only when I catch myself do I ever call them a pair, Larry. , >From: "Helen Roeder" >Reply-To: drivingpairs@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: "Pairs List">Subject: [drivingpairs] Pairs, teams and teams >Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2003 14:03:43 -0500 >>>>>Kathy, good point. I never gave it much thought, but do cringe a little when people refer to my pair as a team. I've even caught myself using the word "team" when I'm speaking to a non driver. If I tell nondrivers I drive a pair, they give me a blank look. >>Thanks for the in depth lesson. >>Helen >>>>In her head is the distant memory >of sandstorms surging through the wilderness, >Yet, gentle as a fawn, she follows close at my shoulder, >She is the fabric of my dreams-----my Arabian mare. >>_________________________________________________________ >To Unsubscribe, change to Digest or Vacation mode go to: >http://www.drivingpairs.com/dpmem.html >````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- MSN 8 helps ELIMINATE E-MAIL VIRUSES.
