Hi Viv

You will find this article of interest - it involves Albert Gregory & Florence Harrison. http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/76797032?searchTerm=%22albert%20gregory%22&searchLimits=l-state=Western+Australia

There are repeat versions of this article in other Trove newspapers but /Truth /is the most descriptive!
It reveals that Florence's mother was named Margaret & Florence was born c1891. In 1910 they lived at Willis Ave, Nth Fremantle. Albert worked as a yardman at the Terminus Hotel. He was born c1882.

There were 2 Margaret Harrison's in Fremantle on the 1912 Electoral Roll but none at that address.

Thanks Rosemary,

They were definitely the right couple because the lady I’m researching on behalf of, (that doesn’t sound right) – the lady on whose behalf I’m researching (that sounds better) said that they went back and forth between WA and Victoria and she wonders why – probably work and/or family connections I’d say.I’ll mention to her about the birth certificate as being the way to go but I’m pretty sure that Albert and Florence are the correct parents for Alfred Henry. That other family in Tasmania are nothing to do with these Gregorys. Also, my friend was born and bred in Fremantle herself.
