GREGORY.-In sad and loving memory of
my darling daughter, Victoria May Gregory.
who departed this life on February 6 1918, at
Fremantle aged three years.
The little cot is empty now,
The little clothes laid by;
A mother's hope, a father's joy,
In death's cold arms doth lie.
Go. little pilgrim, to thy home,
On yonder blissful shore;
We miss thee here, but hope to come
Where thou hast gone before.
Inserted by her loving mother, Florence
Gregory.

On the 1914 WA Electoral Roll, Florence & Albert Gregory lived at 81 Victoria Rd, East Fremantle. He was a Lumper.

*1917 Electoral Roll shows a *possible* Florence May & Albert Henry Gregory (wharf labourer) at 89 Darkly st., Carlton, Victoria (however, note 1918 death in WA for child Victoria May.)

1949 Electoral Roll WA shows a Florence Gregory at 156 Sth Tce, Fremantle & an Alfred Henry Gregory (labourer) at 15 Harbour Rd, Fremantle.:-\

According to a tree on Ancestry, the previous couple I sent were his parents. Do you think that was an error by the person listing the tree?

I think the least expensive solution to the question of the parents' origins would be to buy the Victorian birth certificate for one of the children.

Thanks so much Rosemary and Lesley and Rob,

I think I need to go back to the beginning with the birth of Alfred Henry Gregory, born 12 Dec 1913 in Fitzroy, Victoria.I think the lady I’m trying to help might have been plucking names from everywhere and anywhere and putting them together because they “fitted”.

I need the birth details of Alfred Henry, 1913.Grrrrr, no wonder this lady got “stuck”.
