You can edit the allowed file extensions in conf/mime.conf as explained on <
https://www.dokuwiki.org/config > with more details as to ~why~ at
<https://www.dokuwiki.org/mime>.
At my site, we also had to change a setting within PHP to allow a larger sized
file to be uploaded -
<https://www.google.com/search?q=php+file+too+large+to+upload&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8>
